Tasha Yorozu served as Silicon Valley Host Committee Co-Chair and Emcee for the 2016 U.S.-Japan Council Annual Conference, “Imagine. Innovate. Inspire. — The Silicon Valley Experience.” The conference was held in Silicon Valley at the center of innovation and technology to focus on how the United States and Japan can leverage technology to strengthen collaboration between the two countries, from finance to health to disaster prevention. Presentations examined the latest developments in artificial intelligence, design, and cybersecurity, and explored ways to bring Silicon Valley and Japan even closer together. The conference celebrated the diverse leaders who work in U.S.-Japan relations, including Japanese American leaders, women in politics, and Japanese entrepreneurs. Panels focused on education and fostering the next generation of leaders, and discussed the impact of current events on relations between the two countries.
